Custom Tile Mural Selection and Tile Care

DESCRIPTION: Gloss finish tiles are fired in a kiln to give you a tile that will not fade due to UV rays. They can be used outdoors in direct sunlight and can be used for floors, countertops, any application goes here. Note that the red and yellow colors in these Ceramic tiles tend to be washed out a bit due to "non-lead" based ceramic toners being used. Note: 2 to 4 week delivery time.

GROUT: Un-sanded grout recommended.

CLEANING: Tiles can be cleaned with any household non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge.

DESCRIPTION: A highly resilient and scratch resistant satin matte finish wall tile. Recommended for vivid photo/art reproduction. Great for kitchen backsplashes and showers. You may use any commercially available adhesive for ceramic tile. These tiles may be used for outside installations only where freeze/thaw is not a factor. These tiles are treated with UV inhibitors to resist fading due to UV rays present in indirect sunlight. Not suitable for outdoor "direct sunlight" applications.

CLEANING: Tiles can be cleaned with any household non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge.

DESCRIPTION: A flat stone finish that presents any art or image in an old-world fashion. The tiles must be sealed if used in a water application such as a shower or countertop. Great for backsplash applications. Each tile is individually cut, causing some variation in color, texture, size and thickness. You may find chipped edges and corners missing o­n various tiles. These tiles are also treated with UV inhibitors to resist fading due to UV rays present in indirect sunlight. Not suitable for outdoor "direct sunlight" applications.

DESCRIPTION: Gloss ceramic tile provides a brilliant canvas for best artwork and photo reproduction. Susceptible to scratches, it is not recommended for surfaces that require frequent cleaning. Best used for decorative purposes (walls, pictures, etc.) These tiles are treated with UV inhibitors to resist fading due to UV rays present in indirect sunlight.

GROUT: Un-sanded grout only!

DESCRIPTION: This Porcelain tile has a matte finish, is a non-porous tile, impervious to freeze/thaw conditions. Recommended for all water applications. You may use standard adhesive recommended for porcelain tile. Polymer coating with UV inhibitors to resist fading due to UV rays present in indirect sunlight . Not suitable for outdoor "direct sunlight" applications.

GROUT: Un-sanded grout only

DESCRIPTION: These glass tiles are a smooth glossy finish. Colors tend to wash out a bit as seen in the photo. These tiles exceed ASTM tests set forth by ANSI standards for commercial and residential floor, wall and pool applications. Images are applied to the backside of the glass to protect the dyes from wear and abrasion. Not suitable for outdoor "direct sunlight" applications.

Tempered glass tiles cannot be cut. We only recommend MegaFlex Ultimate Thin-Set Mortar in White for mounting the textured glass tile in any application.  Manufactured by Custom Building Products (www.custombuildingproducts.com), this adhesive should be readily available in most areas, and has exhibited superior bond strength without damaging the white backing on the tiles. 

GROUT: You should use a grout specifically formulated for use with glass tile.
